Confession

I hate doing laundry.

Many years ago I started doing something very shameful.

I wash our laundry and pile it up in Rugby's room so no one can see it.

I know, it's truly awful isn't it?

I only fold clean laundry once a week.  That way I'm only forced to do my most hated chore once in an entire week.  On Saturday morning I sit down and take on mount laundry.  Trust me, it's not pretty.  With 4 kids, 2 adults and a puppy, our laundry is sky high by the end of the week.

On the bright side, it has helped me discover a hidden talent I never knew I had.  I am the queen of laundry fishing.  If I need something out of our giant mound of clean laundry, I can totally find it in record time.  I have a sixth sense for it.  It's freaky cool.

Laundry-- you and I will never be friends.

And it NEVER ends! I feel your pain... currently I have 2 baskets full staring me down... they have been there for almost a week now... good idea on stashing it out of view... but I might never put it away if I don't have it out looking so terrible and cluttering up my family room!

Feels good to know that I am not the only one. Sometimes, I will actually go through all the work of sorting, but only put away the easy stuff (like socks, underwear, bras, pjs) and then throw the other stuff back into the basket and do a load or two more (b/c after putting away the easy stuff, there is more room in the basket). I think I spend more time rearranging the laundry...

I just folded 5 bins of laundry today. I have not matched socks up in 2 weeks. That is a whole different blog entry, my hatred of sock matching. That is for next week on mine.

Ooohhhh! You just reminded me that I need to do some laundry. Man! It's to that if-I-don't-do-a-load-I-won't-have-undies point.

I am the same way! Piles in my room. It's clean just not put away. So I confess that a couple years back I hated folding socks SO much that I continued to buy a pack of new socks every week for everyone so I didn't have to fold them. After a couple months and a couple hundred socks, I figured it was getting to be out of control :)

I am grinning from ear to ear reading this post! I HATE laundry and thought I was a terrible person for it! I currently have a pile on the floor under the laundry shoot, a load in the dryer that's been there for three days, and three baskets of clean laundry in my living room. My DH hates it! He says "why bother starting the job if you aren't going to finish it?" but I need clean clothes, I just don't need them from my drawers!
