Eyebrow Ouchies

When I was in college I had a friend who told me I should really think about shaping my eyebrows.  I have almost invisible eyebrows because they are blonde, so I never considered shaping them.  I thought about it and asked her what she would recommend.  She told me I must get them waxed-- that was the only way to go.

So I waited until I had a break and went home to try it with my sisters.  I made an appointment at a salon and took a sister with as a witness.  The lady had a bit of a mix up with the wax and didn't warm it all the way the first time so she tried again.  Then she redid parts that she had missed again and again.  By the time I left I looked like I had six eyebrows.  Red- normal-red  on both sides.  I have really sensitive skin so it stayed red for quite a few days.  I had to wear a red hat to cover up the red of my face.  It was not pretty.

Since then I have stayed away from wax and tried out other ways to shape my brows.  I started with plucking but to be honest-- that really hurts.  So I searched for another less painful way and I found these...

I love my eyebrow razors.  I use them all the time and they don't hurt a wink.  It's easy and fast.  It works so well I even use them on my kids.  (shhh... don't tell)  Beauty tip of the day-- eyebrow razors, you should try 'um.  I buy mine at Wal-Mart in the beauty section next to all the nail files and special tools.

Trust me-- your eyebrows will thank me later.

Oh my gosh. Thank YOU SO SO MUCH! My daughter is 5 and inherited her grandmother's caterpillar. I really want to wax it, or do something, cause really, she's going to hate all the pictures of her being little with that 1 HUMONGOUS eyebrow, but I can't wax it, and really, I don't see her letting me pluck them. Now, to see if I can get Daddy on board. Then onto the hair on her back (seriously, she has a cowlick in her back hair! My husband's side is super hairy, or at least the women are, which I totally was unaware of before we got married!)

Okay, I must confess that I have huge, messy brows. I only pluck to escape the unibrow. That.is.it. But an eyebrow razor? Hmm. . that I can handle! Sweet! thanks for the tip. Also, I have a 5 year old, and my sis has a 5 year old born with unibrows. We were like "well we can't pluck a 5 year old!" 'cause it hurts! This, though, is totally doable. :)

I love these! When I was stationed in Korea (air force) the salon on base shaped eye brows with little razors like this - I was hesitant at first but since it was my only option for the year I was there, I went with it - OMG SO much better than waxing - I bought a few before I left. Once those ran out, I searched franticly for something similar here in the states - eventually I found ones similar to what you mention. However they aren't as fabulous as the korean ones - don't get me wrong the US ones are still wonderful!

Just as a word of caution to new users though, be extra careful the first time you use one - they are sharp - I almost always cut myself when i break out a new one. They work much better after you have used them a few times!
